The Beast of the East 2012
The new website for the Beast of the East 2012 is now live. It has been a long time coming and we are extremely excited to share it with you. Some of the bigger changes to this years event include:
- Going from a 2 day event to a 3 day event!
- A new Masters category with age brackets starting at age 40
- An exciting new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition. No points..to win you must submit your opponent!
- A new powerlifting competition featuring a push /pull ( Bench press/ Deadlift)
- The return of the Kettlebell Beast competition
- The return of Gary Valentine’s USAW Olypmic lifting competition
*Other changes include a 1 day spectator pass so you can choose to come to 1-2 or 3 days if you like.
*A streamlined registration process that will handle the bulk of the logistics online before you show up to compete.
* a brand new Rogue Rig designed for the Beast
* cash prizes awarded for the winners of each wod. This is the first time where you can get a chance to get in on the cash prizes for taking first place in any one event!
* cash prizes for each of the other non-CrossFit competitions.
Our vision for a world class fitness festival and competition is coming together at lightning speed. The 2012 Beast of the East will be twice as large as last years event. We know it’s still 10 months away but it’s never to soon to start your training. If your coming to spectate plan on taking Friday off …you won’t want to miss the start of the whole weekend. As always we are looking for volunteers and judges so if you’re interested please go to the BOE site and register early.
